I am currently the ECSE teacher at Bright Beginnings Academic Center. I began teaching at BBAC in August 2015. Prior to that I was a teacher at Oak Grove Elementary School for two years where I taught 5th English Language Arts and Reading/Social Studies for one year and Resource English Language Arts Reading for one year.
I began teaching in February of 2006 in Brownfield where I took over a position for a teacher that left in the middle of the year. I taught Reading Improvement for 6th-8th grade students for the remainder of that school year. I then moved to Corpus Christi with my family where I taught at Flour Bluff Intermediate School for 5 years as a special education teacher.
Outside of teaching, I have worked with all different ages of children through church programs for over 15 years. The experiences I have gained through these programs have given me a better understanding of children and the best ways to reach them.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Eric, for 20 years. Together we have 4 children. Adrian is a sophomore in college, Caleb is a senior at BHS, Kamryn is a junior at BHS and Samuel is in 3rd grade at Oak Grove. We also have 2 dogs; Shooter and Stark.
I spend most of my free time either taking my children to different activities or traveling to watch them in these activities. They are all involved in athletics and other things associated with the school and community. I also spend many hours serving along with my family in our church, Faith Family Fellowship, where my husband is the pastor. On the rare occasion that I have spare time, I enjoy running and reading.
